Party is a compilation album by Pet Shop Boys released exclusively in Brazil on 4 November 2009.The album was released to coincide with the Brazilian leg of their 2009 Pandemonium tour.
The album includes both past hits and some newer material.
Party includes songs that were heavily featured in the following TV Globo soap operas:
“Being boring” (Meu Bem Meu Mal OST), “Domino dancing” (O Salvador da Patria OST), “West End girls” (Selva de Pedra OST) and “King of Rome” (currently being featured on the soap opera, Viver a Vida).Several mistakes have occurred with the track listing. For example, “West End Girls” appears in its original 7″ form, contrary to the labeling as the 10″ version.
“Paninaro ’95″ was included on the album, yet placed as track 3 and labeled as the 7″ mix.
Also, the original 1992 7″ version of “Go West” appears on the album, a rare inclusion as it has not appeared on any Pet Shop Boys compilations so far.Track listing

There are three great chamber music composers from the second half of the 19th century: Brahms, Dvorák, and Fauré. Of the three, Fauré is by far the least well known, even in France. French music in the 19th century was almost entirely centered on opera and ballet, and while Fauré did make at least one contribution to the operatic stage (Penelope), he was far more involved in composing chamber music and songs. The two piano quartets are both extremely fine works, beautifully crafted, and full of warmly Romantic melody. This disc was one of the first by non-French performers to make the case for Fauré as a truly great composer of chamber music, and it still sounds very impressive.

so here is some REAL information!! Liek OMGz0rzzzThe compilation—entitled, Athens after the name of Hyde’s
painting that adorns the sleeve—is actually credited to
Underworld vs The Misterons, which suggests that regular
instrumentalist Darren Price and Junior Boys Own co-founder
Steven Hall had a hand in the project. Those expecting a
regular house and techno compilation may be very surprised,
as the duo have gone for a much different vibe to the one
they’re regularly associated with. “The overall mood is
jazz and improvisation,” they explain. “There is very
little playing in a lot of people’s records in the dance
and DJ world these days, but one thing Underworld have
always liked is musicianship. It doesn’t stop us loving
machine music and house music and everything that goes
with it, but the idea with this album was to highlight
records we liked that we thought had great live playing
on them.”The result is a diverse selection of groove-based tracks
that range from the psychedelic blues of Mahavishnu
Orchestra, through to the jazzy techno of Osunlade’s
“The Promise.” Moodymann, Alice Coltrane, Squarepusher,
The Soft Machine, Laurent Garnier and Underworld
themselves all feature, while the collection finishes
with a collaboration between Brian Eno and Karl Hyde.
Conceived during Eno’s residency at Sydney’s Opera House
earlier this year, “Beebop Hurry” features Hyde
performing one of his trademark stream-of-consciousness
raps over loose beats and live synths.Wasn’t that fun?! You know it.
